What is the most comfortable season in Japan?
Each season has its own charm, as Seishonagon, a female author in the 10th century, wrote in her anthology of essays titled Makura no Soushi.
She wrote that dawn is best in spring, night is best in summer, twilight is best in autumn, and early morning is best in winter.
But the majority of Japanese would say that the best seasons are spring and autumn, especially early May when trees are covered in fresh green, and between October and mid-November when the leaves change colors.
With the climate stable, these are the best times of the year to travel.
