Paper Lanterns

This type of lantern is made of paper with a candle inside to provide the light.
The body folds down like a bellows to allow the candle to be lit.
The shape and size depends on what it is to be used for, whether for the home, ashop, or a festival.
It is possible to have them made to order.
Today, many of them are fitted with electric light bulbs for safety reasons, but in order to enjoy the true attraction of a paper lantern, it requires the flickering light of a candle.
The sight of a lantern shining in the darkness, the light softened by the paper shade, has the power to warm the heart.
Whatching this light, I find various memories well up in my mind, although it seems strange that it should make me feel this way.
